The Stephen Center in Omaha, Nebraska, is an emergency shelter that partners with the community, families, and individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction, and poverty. The name Stephen Center comes from the Apostle Stephen, who was one of the first deacons of the church and commited his time to helping those less fortunate. The Stephen Center opened their doors in 1984 to serve men that were homeless and living in poverty and they have been creating programs and building housing to serve the community and individuals ever since.
2nd-Byte.com, a division of P&L Capital, is a continued supporter of the Stephen Center and all that they do for the community. On Saturday, March 3rd, 2nd-Byte will be donating the laptops to help with the check-in process for the Stephen Center’s “Cruise Away To Hollywood” event, a casino night that is put on by the Stephen Center Women’s Guild and all benefits will go to the Stephen Center Pettigrew Emergency Shelter.
