Where Do We Get Our Refurbished Laptops & Computers From?

P&L Capital is the parent company of 2nd-Byte.com and is a third-party computer leasing company. P&L provides a 2 or 3 year “rotation” lease where the client uses the equipment and then returns the equipment to P&L Capital. This is brand new equipment when the client starts the lease. 2nd-Byte is the sales and marketing arm of said returned equipment.

What Exactly Is A Refurbished Computer?

In the IT and electronics world, a refurbished computer or laptop means that this device has been  renewed or updated. Sometimes a computer or laptop is refurbished because of cosmetic damages such as a cracked screen or a scratch. The fixes can be that simple. Just because it says “refurbished” does not mean it cannot be used! This is exactly what you can expect from refurbished computer and laptops at 2nd-Byte.  

Services Provided to All Refurbished Laptops & Computers

2nd-Byte will inspect the computers and then do the following:

• We Inspect the computers to determine if they qualify as “A” condition or “B” condition.
• Are all of the parts in working condition?
• At 2nd-Byte, we actually “clean” the computers and monitors.
• Then we insure the computer meets all standards generally accepted in the refurb community to meet requirements to be considered “A” quality.
• We make sure all laptops and computers follow the authorized Microsoft refurbisher set forth from Microsoft themselves.
• When the client orders, we customize based on the needs of each client. This can include: a memory upgrade, solid state drive upgrade, or any other enhancement.

Do You Provide a Warranty?

At 2nd-Byte, we believe your experience should be positive and as stress-free as possible. Computers should not cause us stress, and we understand that sometimes items break. This is why our company provides  a 30-day, no questions asked, money back or replacement guarantee. Furthermore, our warranty can be extended for 12 months for the nominal fee of an additional $30. This covers needed parts and a labor guarantee.
